A Beautiful Start to Practice This Year ✨
This year, we were thrilled to welcome over 75 students on the very first day of practice. Seeing so many young dancers come together to learn and celebrate Khmer culture has been truly inspiring.

Our dances this season include:

Tivea Propey — Taught by Sharlie
Blessing — Taught by Sharlie
Moon Love — Taught by Lyna
Mermaid (Sovann Macha) — Taught by Jack and Julie
Umbrella — Taught by Neary Neou
Phoung Neary — Taught by December
New Year’s Dance — Taught by Sam & Bridgette
Fishing Dance — Taught by Ethan
Youth Fashion Show — Taught by Sophany
Adult Fashion Show — Taught by Neary

Many of our instructors are former students themselves, which makes this year especially meaningful. Watching them return to guide the next generation is a beautiful reminder of how our community continues to grow and give back.

We want to sincerely thank all the parents who provide food, help with transportation, and support their children week after week. Your dedication makes everything possible.

We meet Friday evenings until the performance date. While it may be too late to add new members since the performance is only three weeks away, we warmly invite you to stop by and observe a practice.

We can’t wait to share all of their hard work with you on stage!

Celebrating Culture at the Rhythmix API Festival 🌸
On Saturday, April 26, 2025, the we had the honor of performing at the Rhythmix Asian & Pacific Islander Arts & Culture Festival at Bohol Circle Immigrant Park in Alameda. This vibrant event, hosted by Rhythmix Cultural Works in partnership with the City of Alameda Recreation and Park Department, brought together communities from across the Bay Area to celebrate the rich diversity of Asian and Pacific Islander cultures through music, dance, food, and art .

We were thrilled to share the beauty of Cambodian classical dance alongside incredible performances by Hālau Makana, The Sampaguitas, Dholrhythms Dance Company, Urisawe, Samoan Solutions, Viet Steps, Lion Dance ME, and many more. The festival also featured hands-on art activities, delicious Asian and Pacific-inspired foods, and a variety of community vendors, creating a joyful gathering that brought the community together in appreciation of shared traditions and creativity.

Thank you to Rhythmix Cultural Works for creating space to honor cultural traditions and creativity. And thank you to everyone who came out to support, dance, and celebrate with us!
